They span geological formations and a rainfall gradient. A map and list of sites can be found  <a href='http:\/\/ctfs.si.edu\/Public\/Datasets\/PanamaTreePlots\/'>here<\/a>, with coordinates, elevation, and estimated rainfall at each. The complete plot data, including measurements of every individual tree in one or more censuses at 65 plots, are published at a permanent University of California-Dryad <a href='https:\/\/doi.org\/10.15146\/mdpr-pm59'>archive<\/a> (Condit et al. 2019). Additional data on soil chemistry and more tree inventories can be downloaded from Condit et al. 2013a; those data appeared in the Condit et al.
